Eating Out There are many fantastic restaurants in and around Mirepoix offering excellent local cuisine. Here are some of our current favorites:

Saint Maurice
This family friendly restaurant is located on the Place de Mirepoix and offers an excellent selection of dishes throughout the day.

Clos des Oliviers
Since its opening in 2023, Clos des Oliviers has firmly established itself as one of the best restaurants in Mirepoix. It offers gourmet cuisine inspired by the seasons and local products. You can choose to sit outside on the beautiful terrace or inside in the tastefully decorated restaurant.

L'Autre Jardin
Located on Cr Colonel Petitpied in Mirepoix, this restaurant is a discreet place but has a pretty private garden for dining. The menu is small, but the quality of the cuisine is high. Every Friday, they offer a delicious Sushi menu. Making reservations is recommended.

Le Casti
On the main square of Mirepoix, Le Casti offers excellent cocktails and a tapas menu, making it a great place to spend time observing the world around you. Please note that they do not offer a separate children's menu.

Le Clos Saint Martin la Metairie
La Metairie This restaurant is located 15 minutes towards Pamiers. It has a beautiful garden for outdoor lunch, but the interior is also very pleasant. The food is fantastic, with a good choice.

Le Comptoir Gourmand
Situated away from the main square in Mirepoix, this is a charming little restaurant with a good seasonal menu and excellent wines.

Green Bazare Cafe
This vegetarian cafe, just off the main square in Mirepoix, offers delicious food, all seasonal and locally produced.

La Flambée
At the end of Place de Mirepoix, they offer a huge choice of menus, including a large selection of pizzas, also available to take away. In summer, it is advisable to reserve a table.

Le Regate
It is located on the Leran side, near Lake Montbel, and is a really nice place for lunch with a view of the lake.

La Crêperie de Lac
Located near the village of Montbel, it is a charming little restaurant. In summer, it has a park with an adjoining bouncy castle.

Château de Camon
This is a magnificent restaurant ideal for special occasions. The cuisine is excellent. Reservation is recommended.

Shopping in Mirepoix

Super U
An excellent supermarket on the outskirts of town, which has a good fish counter, an in-store butcher and a wide selection of fresh produce. If you haven't yet tried the local fizz, Limoux Blanquette, they have an excellent bottle here for less than 6 euros! Open seven days a week from 8:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. Monday to Saturday, and from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday.

Aldi
A small supermarket located on the outskirts of Mirepoix open from 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Monday to Saturday, and 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. Sunday.

La Fromagerie Chez Lucie
Located on Cours Colonel Petitpied, it is a charming cheese shop offering a good selection of local cheeses.

Terre et Mer (Poissonnerie)
A few meters from the cheese shop is Terre et Mer, which offers a fantastic selection of fresh fish delivered daily.

Bakeries and Pastries
There are several bakeries and pastries in Mirepoix. Our favorites include Saveurs Des Couverts , Le Pêché Mignon and Maison Diant - all located on or near the market square, and offer an excellent selection of breads, pastries and cakes.
